Context

La Mie is an artisanal beer brand that fights food waste by using unsold bread to make beer. They wanted to refresh their website and improve their brand’s look to attract more customers online. As part of the design team, my job was to redesign the website and update the brand’s visual identity. The goal was to make the site more user-friendly and easier to navigate.

Graphic identity

The creation of a distinct visual identity ensures immediate recognition and communicates La Mie's values of craftsmanship and the fight against food waste. By ensuring consistency across all communication media, it strengthens the brand image and inspires confidence.

User research

Before starting to rethink the user experience, a UX audit was carried out on the existing La Mie site. The aim was to identify the strengths to be retained, but above all the gaps to be filled in order to offer visitors a memorable and intuitive online experience. This process was extended to include in-depth user research, including the creation of personas and an empathy map, in order to identify and understand La Mie's potential targets. These tools enabled us to better understand the needs, motivations and behaviours of La Mie's users, guiding us through each stage of the site redesign.

Website interface design

This UX analysis enabled us to design a user flow and wireframes that met the requirements of La Mie and future users, with a simple, user-friendly path. As a result, the mockups proposed by our team not only met La Mie's expectations, but were also validated for their effectiveness in delivering an optimal user experience.
